Ageratum is a popular, low-growing, annual plant of flower gardens. It is native to tropical regions of Central and South America. Its pale blue, white, or pink flowers bloom all summer. Each flower head has many tiny, tube-shaped flowers, crowded closely together. Ageratum plants may be grown from seeds started indoors in early spring, or planted later outdoors.
